On another forum, a Hitfilm staff member mentioned that enabling Hitfilm on average computers could prove detrimental to HF's reputation as the quality of the resulting videos would suffer slightly/significantly. Good luck and still waiting for an update that will enable Hitfilm on my computer. Otherwise, you might face stiff competition in the near future.

So my suggestion to Hitfilm is that they should ask their software programmers to make sure the software is designed considering the average Youtube user in mind. There are enough competitors in the United States/China/India that can make a software similar to Hitfilm and design it in such a way that the average Youtube user can license it on a per month basis without having to buy expensive graphics cards. However, I was surprised to find out that Hitfilm didn't even start on my machine! I wrote to Hitfilm customer service, who sent me a reply saying that my graphics card didn't meet the 'minimum' requirements for hitfilm. Started using Sony Vegas platinum 11 the minute it was installed. I recently purchased Hitfilm standard as part of the Sony Movie studio platinum 11 software (a $94 upgrade to my earlier version of Sony Vegas).
